Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 5 June 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of Harley-Davidson passenger experiences, scenic tours, wedding experiences, corporate events, formals and other services provided by Coastal Thunder Tours. By making a booking or participating in an experience, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before making a booking. If you have any questions, please contact us prior to confirming your reservation.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

Booking means any reservation made with Coastal Thunder Tours for a tour, event, experience, transfer or other service.

Customer means the person making the Booking.

Passenger means any person participating in a tour, ride, event or experience provided by Coastal Thunder Tours.

Tour includes any scenic tour, wedding service, formal arrival, corporate event, photoshoot, transfer, winery tour or other experience offered by Coastal Thunder Tours.

Gift Card means a prepaid voucher issued by Coastal Thunder Tours.

We, Us, Our means Coastal Thunder Tours.

You, Your means the Customer and any Passenger included in the Booking.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By making a Booking, purchasing a Gift Card, participating in a Tour or engaging our services, You acknowledge that You have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions operate in conjunction with any Waiver and Release of Liability required by Coastal Thunder Tours.

3. Bookings and Payments

All Bookings are subject to availability.

A deposit may be required to secure a Booking.

For larger group bookings, weddings, corporate events and special events, a deposit of 20% of the total quoted amount may be required unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Unless otherwise agreed, full payment must be received prior to the commencement of the Tour or event.

All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD).

We reserve the right to decline or cancel a Booking where payment has not been received by the due date.

4. Quotations

Written quotations are valid for the period specified in the quotation.

Where no validity period is specified, quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued.

Prices may change after the validity period expires.

5. Cancellations by the Customer

Where a Booking is cancelled more than 14 days before the scheduled Tour or event, a full refund of monies paid will generally be provided.

Where a Booking is cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled Tour or event, any deposit paid may be forfeited and cancellation fees may apply.

Failure to attend a Tour or event without notice may result in the forfeiture of all monies paid.

Refund requests will be assessed at Our sole discretion having regard to the circumstances of the cancellation and costs already incurred.

6. Weather and Unforeseen Circumstances

Tours generally operate in a wide range of weather conditions.

We reserve the right to postpone, modify, shorten or cancel any Tour or event where weather conditions, road conditions or other circumstances are considered unsafe.

If We cancel a Tour due to unsafe conditions, Customers may be offered:

  • A rescheduled booking;
  • A credit for future use; or
  • A refund.

The remedy offered will be determined by the circumstances of the cancellation.

No compensation will be payable for accommodation, travel, meals, lost time or other incidental expenses arising from a weather-related cancellation or postponement.

7. Passenger Requirements

Passengers must:

  • Be at least 10 years of age;
  • Weigh no more than 120 kg unless otherwise approved by Us;
  • Be physically capable of safely participating in the Tour;
  • Follow all instructions provided by Our riders and representatives;
  • Wear appropriate clothing and footwear;
  • Conduct themselves in a safe and respectful manner.

Age Requirements

The minimum passenger age is 10 years.

Passengers under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Weight Restrictions

The maximum passenger weight is 120 kg.

Passengers weighing between 120 kg and 130 kg may be accepted at the rider’s discretion, subject to a safety and comfort assessment.

We reserve the right to refuse participation where We believe the safety, comfort or operational limitations of the motorcycle may be adversely affected.

Clothing Requirements

Passengers must wear:

  • Long pants (preferably jeans);
  • Fully enclosed footwear;
  • Suitable eye protection such as sunglasses or safety glasses.

For safety reasons, Passengers may be refused participation if they are not appropriately dressed.

Fitness to Participate

Passengers must be physically capable of mounting, dismounting and safely riding as a motorcycle passenger.

Passengers are responsible for informing Coastal Thunder Tours of any medical condition, injury, disability or other circumstance that may affect their ability to safely participate in a Tour.

We reserve the right to refuse participation where We believe participation may create an unacceptable safety risk to the Passenger, rider or other road users.

8. Alcohol, Drugs and Behaviour

Passengers must not participate in a Tour while affected by alcohol, illegal drugs or any substance that may impair judgement, coordination or behaviour.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate a Tour or remove a Passenger from an event if We believe their conduct may endanger themselves, other participants, Our riders or members of the public.

No refund will be provided where participation is refused due to intoxication, inappropriate behaviour or non-compliance with safety instructions.

9. Safety Requirements

Motorcycle riding involves inherent risks.

Passengers must:

  • Wear any safety equipment provided or required;
  • Follow rider instructions at all times;
  • Remain properly seated while the motorcycle is in motion;
  • Avoid behaviour that may distract or interfere with the rider;
  • Complete and sign any Waiver and Release of Liability or other safety documentation required by Coastal Thunder Tours prior to participation.

Coastal Thunder Tours reserves the right to refuse or terminate participation where a Passenger fails to comply with safety instructions, fails to complete required documentation, or where participation is considered unsafe.

10. Waiver and Release of Liability

Participation in motorcycle experiences may require the completion of a Waiver and Release of Liability.

Where a waiver is required, participation may be refused if the waiver is not completed to Our satisfaction.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes any rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

11. Photography and Video

We may take photographs, video recordings and other media during Tours, events and experiences.

Such material may be used for:

  • Marketing;
  • Advertising;
  • Social media;
  • Website content;
  • Promotional publications;
  • Other business-related purposes.

By participating in a Tour or event, You consent to the capture and use of such material unless You notify Us otherwise prior to the commencement of the Tour.

Customers may request that images or video containing them be removed from future marketing materials. We will make reasonable efforts to comply with such requests where practicable, however We cannot guarantee removal from material already published, distributed or archived.

12. Gift Cards

Gift Cards are valid for the period specified on the Gift Card or otherwise required by applicable law.

Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash.

Gift Cards are not transferable unless otherwise stated.

Lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed Gift Cards may not be replaced.

Unused balances are not refundable unless required by law.

13. Corporate Events and Group Bookings

Corporate events, weddings, formals and large group bookings may be subject to additional terms and conditions.

Final participant numbers, event schedules and operational requirements must be confirmed by the date specified by Us.

Additional charges may apply where event requirements change after confirmation.

14. Route Changes and Operational Variations

Tour routes, destinations, durations and schedules may vary due to:

  • Weather conditions;
  • Road closures;
  • Traffic conditions;
  • Safety concerns;
  • Mechanical issues;
  • Operational requirements.

We reserve the right to substitute destinations, modify routes or alter Tour durations where reasonably necessary.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coastal Thunder Tours shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or incidental loss arising from participation in a Tour or event.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Our liability shall be limited to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

16. Privacy

Personal information collected by Coastal Thunder Tours is handled in accordance with Our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy is available on Our website.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
